Hi Everyone,
If you are new to this community introduce yourself so we can get to know you. I'll start.
Jayger and I started ThriVita earlier this year to help employers empower their employees in cultivating healthy habits that reduce stress. Making way for increased retention, better performance and inclusion. All of which make for a more growth-minded organization. Since starting we have cultivated a network of professionals that have years of experience serving Corporate America in the health and wellness space.
Bringing health and wellness into organizations is not new but doing it at the scale we hope to see realized is. Employers empowering every one of their employees speaks to true inclusion and we know that inclusion is at the forefront of growth.
By opening up our network to these discussions on this forum we hope to create a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere for all health and wellness professionals hoping to share ideas and grow as professionals serving businesses.
Hello! I have a health/fitness background being a Taekwondo master (4th degree blackbelt). I started an online health/fitness coaching business five years ago geared towards moms. We chat about motherhood, balancing life, and finding me time. I am big on positive vibes and helping to provide personal development resources. I provide an online community for like-minded women to share successes, struggles, healthy recipes, and pretty much anything related to their journey.
I am looking to level up my business and expand and Stephen reached out at the perfect time!
Nice to meet you, Julia! Motherhood is tough but I feel like having taekwondo under your "belt" is a great way to manage all the random things that can be thrown at you!
I'm Don Oswalt and my wife Kathleen and I have started a website/blog called Eat Love Triathlon. Our main focus is on helping triathletes perform their best using a predominately plant based diet.
My wife is a registered dietitian a gut health expert and a graduate of the Academy of Culinary Nutrition and I'm a world championship Ironman triathlon qualifier.
We are in the process of developing an online course for triathletes called the Plant Powered Process. Helping them achieve their personal best eating a plant based diet.
Hi Don, I've been trying to switch to a more plant based diet. I've been recently come across the concept of biophotons in plants (eating a light quotient) and the work of Dr. Fritz Albert Popp. Have you heard of this?
Hi @jeff, I haven't heard of it, but sounds interesting. Will have to do some research. Our philosophy is eating more natural plant foods and making them the star of your plate.
David here, I have lived in Ireland, Canada and I am now in France.
I have wonderful children who teach me about life.
20 years ago I created a holistic personal development program
I called 'The WONDER Technique' that continues to evolve overtime and I am deeply touched that I have impacted in person the lives of over 7,000 people (yes, I counted)
@David Hennessey your decades of experience and family legacy tied to this line of work will be an incredible thing. @jeff - Hopefully the two of you can connect sometime!
It is a pleasure to virtually meet all of you! Stephen and I are excited to partner with you and influence meaningful change in others. We have experience in multiple Fortune 500 corporations and have worked in a variety of corporate cultures. I have worked at United Airlines, IBM, Salesforce and a few others. My goal is to leverage these experiences and add as much value to you as I can.
We absolutely welcome feedback and ideas that you have on how to make this industry even better, how we can improve and how we can innovate together. I have met many of you and for those I haven't had a chance to speak with, I'm looking forward to that time!
Overall, keep up with your craft and mastering your skillset. You inspire us to grow daily!
On a personal note, my family is one of my biggest motivations! I am immensely grateful for them, I aspire to make them proud and I give thanks daily to have them in my life.
Hello, fellow new community members! Looks like a lot of great resources are already aggregating here! I really look forward to learning and sharing more.
My name is Jeff Armstrong and I am a Co-Founder in a company I started with my wife called Mindful Communications. We are located in Chicago and our passion is to help individuals, intact teams and organizations build resilience, alignment, and communication skills. We like to call these skills components to 'Flow".
My wife, Laura, is the Communications trainer and I am the Resilience trainer.
As a Resilience Trainer, I specifically, help people build resilience and create flow by leveraging the art + science of Heart Coherence (scientists call it physiological coherence). I teach conscious, resonant breathing techniques and visualizations that create coherence. We also leverage smartphone-enabled biofeedback wearables that measure and index the efficiency of these techniques.
I got passionate about building resilience and optimizing outcomes after wiping out on stress about six years ago. The benefits I received (getting happier, healthier, and performing better) has become my new WHY. I look forward to bringing that WHY to this platform.
Looking forward to future collaboration and co-creation within the Thrivita community!
Nice to meet you, Jeff! I was just in Laura's session on developing leadership presence with Ignite/SR4 Partners this morning. It was a fantastic session. Looking forward to meeting you in person.
